How we repair your PS5 Slim & PS5 Pro
- We confirm the model (PS5 Slim, Slim Digital or PS5 Pro) and test it on our bench with our own power and display.
- We open the console and, on Slim and Pro models, remove the detachable disc drive and cooling to reach the board.
- The faulty part is repaired at component level, for example a worn HDMI port removed and replaced under the microscope.
- We clean the fan and heatsink, refit everything and test it with a game before it goes back to you.
How long it takes
Most PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro HDMI port, fan and cleaning repairs are done the same day when the part is in stock. Board-level power faults can take longer, and we tell you the expected time when we quote. Every repair comes with a 90-day warranty on parts and labour.
Before you bring it in
- Bring the console only; we have our own power and HDMI cables for testing.
- Note any error codes, light colours or sounds, and when the fault started.
- Take out any disc, and please do not open it yourself first, as a previous attempt can add to the repair.
PS5 Slim & PS5 Pro repair questions
Is the PS5 Slim HDMI port repair the same as on the original PS5?
The job is similar, but the Slim and Pro use a different board layout from the launch PS5, so we confirm the exact model when you book and quote for that model.
Can you repair the PS5 Pro disc drive?
The PS5 Pro does not come with a disc drive, but if you use the add-on drive and it stops reading or ejecting discs, we can repair or replace it.
Will I lose my games and saves?
An HDMI port, power or fan repair does not touch the storage. If a fault means the SSD has to be replaced or the system reinstalled, we tell you before we start.
