How we repair your Xbox Series X & Series S
- We test the Series X or Series S on our bench and read any startup errors.
- We open the console, which on the Series X means removing the vertical chassis and cooling stack.
- The faulty part, such as an HDMI port, power supply or component on the board, is repaired or replaced.
- We clean the fan and vents, reassemble the console and test it with games and updates before it goes back.

Usually. This is most often the internal power supply or a component on the motherboard, and both can be repaired.
Why is my Series X or Series S so loud?
Dust in the fan and heatsink makes the fan work harder. A full internal clean normally makes it quiet again and stops overheating shutdowns.
Does the Series S have a disc drive to repair?
No. The Series S is digital only, so disc drive repairs apply to the Series X.
